Fujikawa Tamenobu
From "Tokaido Meisho Hiza Kurige" ("Famous Places of Tokaido; Shanks Mare"). Yaji and Kita are two bumbling travelers taking a trip down the Tokaido road. Here they are observing the procession of a feudal lord on Yahagi bridge over the Matsuba river.
This series depicts scenes from the popular novel “Shanks Mare” by Jippensha Ikku.
