Interesting collaborative design by Kunichika and Hiroshige III showing young girls preparing for a celebration. The older child carries away a tray of mochi kagami or mirror rice from a vendor kneeling beside his wares. The younger girl seems to struggle under the weight of another tray on which are place miniature takaramono or precious things, lucky objects like a straw raincoat that allows the wearer to fly. On the river beyond, boats laden with bales of rice make their way up and down the water with a warehouse along the shore at upper left.
Condition: Margins as shown, great condition and color, not backed.
