From a series of half-length actor portraits with poem. The still-lifes in the top of the prints were designed by Gengyo Miyagi (in most cases). Actor: Bandō Hikosaburō V
 in the role of Sakingo Yorikane (左金吾頼兼) from the play: Takaomaru Chishio no Mitsumata. In the background fireworks appear.

Almost all of the prints are based on actual performances of the years 1861 and 1862; few of them seem to be "mitate" prints, meaning that the actors in the depicted roles are imagined and not really performed in a specific play.
