Handsome kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Danjuro as a beauty with an umbrella, looking up with a concerned expression. She wears a pink kimono tied with a black obi, and has a white hood wrapped around her head against the cold air. An inset at upper right depicts a man in formal attire wearing a black court cap, set against a red background with a subtle burnished pattern of the three concentric rice measure crest of the Ichikawa Danjuro line of actors. Nicely detailed with additional burnishing on the obi and court cap, and faint embossing on the pink kimono.
