An introductory page, the table of contents and 3 printed images with actors from a limited edition series on "The Eighteen Great Kabuki Plays" by Torii Tadamasa. Five prints total.

Tadamasa was born Katsumi Ueno. His work combined images of popular Kabuki actors in key roles with western influences to create unique, prints. His first teacher, Torii Kiyotada, allowed Ueno to use ‘tada’, from his name, to form the basis of Ueno’s first name, Tadamasa. His next teacher, Torii VII, allowed him to use their family name; making Tadamasa Ueno, Tadamasa Torii in 1949.
