Yoshitsuna - Three Big Sisters
Yoshitsuna - Three Big Sisters
Yoshitsuna
Unusual print depicting three (big) sisters working at a mill. The young woman at upper left scoops flour into a small bag, other packages it for sale, displayed on a wooden table before her. At right, a hopper on top of the grindstone holds grain, the large wooden cogs that turn the mill worked by the two oxen that are taking a break. An interesting depiction of agricultural industry during the Edo era.
