Kunisada & Hiroshige II
A couple on the balcony of a house look down at the bustle of an Edo street by moonlight. This depicts the Toshi-no-ichi market in Asakusa. In December, markets were held all over Edo to sell all sorts of New Year's goods, including shimekazari decorations, Shinto altars, battledore, and food. Hiroshige probably did the background and Kunisada the foreground.
