Collection: Toyohara Kunichika

Toyohara Kunichika (30 June 1835 – 1 July 1900) was an amazing ukiyo-e artist. At age thirteen he became a student of Tokyo's then-leading print maker, Utagawa Kunisada. He became one of the foremost designers of Yakusha-e or prints of Kabuki actors and plays. We also appreciate his print series on famous Tokyo restaurants, Bandits, and Good and Evil Beauties. We are pleased to offer many reasonably priced and high quality prints for purchase.

Dear Mr. Richard, opening the package and seeing the incredible bright colours and ornamental abundance of Yoshitoshi's diptych , it was just as printed today! It will be a pleasure to get more of your fine selected prints.

Hello, I am very happy with the print I purchased from Mie Gallery on March 5. (Kunichika - Sugawara Denju Tenarai Kagami). For such an old print, the colors and shapes are sharp and beautiful, much better than I expected.
