Toshinobu Taguchi
Fantastic vertical diptych from a kabuki play Sanmon Gosan no Kiri (樓門五山桐), or The Golden Gate and the Paulownia Crest, written by Namiki Gohei I and first performed in 1778. Note the reflection in the water. Goemon Ishikawa is played by Danjuro Ichikawa. Hisayoshi Mashiba played by Sadanji Ichikawa.

Condition: Great color and impression. Backed, not glued together, some damage and stains.
