Kathryn Camicia Painter and Collector

Kathryn Camicia, a psychologist and accomplished painter, has been collecting Japanese woodblock prints for about two years. She was drawn to ukiyo-e by the richness of its colors, the handling of texture, and the way each print conveys a story. Her favorite artists are Tsukioka Yoshitoshi and Utagawa Hiroshige, whose works continue to capture her interest.

Collecting quickly became a "delightful obsession" for Kathryn, especially through online searches and auctions. She advises new collectors to simply “go with your heart.”
