Collection: Actors - Yakusha-e

Actor pictures, or "Yakusa-e" represent the largest genre of Japanese woodblock prints. Prints were made for consumption by the common folk, and the common people loved the Kabuki theatre. Actors were major celebrities and most Ukiyo-e artists designed actor prints at some point in their career.
