Konodai Tonegawa fukei, “View of Konodai and the Tone River” from the series Meisho Edo Hyakkei, the “One Hundred Views of Edo”. The Konodai or "Provincial Capital Bluff" served as a regional military center in early times as it was easily defended. Three sightseers admire the view from beneath pine and maple trees with autumn foliage. Mt. Fuji in the distance at the far right. Boats sail along the river below, with a few houses along the water's edge.

Condition: Pinholes along right border, not backed, color change due to environmental factors. Minor repairs on top right border(see back of print). Misc penciled notations as shown.
