Collection: Utagawa Hiroshige
Utagawa Hiroshige (1797 – 1858), also known as Ando Hiroshige, was an ukiyo-e artist best known for his landscapes, such as the series The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō and The Sixty-nine Stations of the Kiso Kaidō; and for his depictions of birds and flowers. Hiroshige's aesthetic was poetic and ambient, really tapping into the natural environment and the lives of the common man. Besides our fine collection of prints we have many original articles about Hiroshige, and a gallery of his series 53 Stations of the Tokaido.
