"Azuma Nishiki Chuya Kurabe" (Edo Embroidery Pictures, Comparison of the Day and the Night). The famous poetess Ono no Komachi is reading her poem to the sky and asking for the rain to fall. Soon after, the rain started. The Heian period poet stands before a Shinto alter holding a manuscript, the cartouche with Ono no Komachi as an old woman peering at a crescent moon.
