Arai. The Fifty-three Pairings for the Tokaido. There is a woman with a travel diary in her hand on the Hamana bridge. The woman has an Ohaguro and she has a brush in her mouth. Ohaguro is the custom to paint the teeth black and was common among aristocrats and married women in Japan.
