Hiroshige - Old Edo Tales Illustrated

Andô Hiroshige

From a series titled “Old Edo Stories Illustrated” published by Wakasa-ya dating 1843.  Hiroshige’s signature is at the lower right.  The round Tanaka censor’s seal and the publisher’s seal are at the lower right. The series and image title cartouches are at the upper left. The calligraphic panel at the upper left holds the story of the scene depicted.

Condition: Margins as shown, good condition, backed with Edo era paper.
