Utagawa Kunisada

Folk hero and magician Jiraiya summoning a giant eagle and threatening Fuki Taro at left, who backs away in fright as Jiraiya thrusts a sword at him. From left, the actors are Ichikawa Kuzo II and Ichikawa Danjuro VIII in the play "Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari," which premiered in 1852 at the Kawarasakiza Theater. A burnished pattern on the black fur robe.

Condition: Good color and impression. Some stains and scuffing on the left panel in the middle as shown. Not backed, 2 separate sheets.
