Great scene of Taira no shinno Soma Masakado from the series "Honcho eiyu kagami" by Utagawa Yoshikazu. Taira no Masakado was active during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period in China. His birth year is unknown, but he was of a very noble family. He was the fifth-generation grandson of Emperor Kanmu. His grandfather, Prince Takami, was granted the title of Kamitsusuke and guarded Kamitsu Province for a long time to suppress the rampant bandit groups in Kanto, thus becoming a very powerful powerful family in Kanto.
