Ishibe station from "The 53 Stations of the Tokaido Road" (Upright Tokaido) was a popular rest stop for travelers on the Tokaido as they made their way from Kyoto to Edo. Here, we see travelers enjoying the evening at the many inns and restaurants in Ishibe.
