Kunisada - Nakamura Shikan IV and Young Mouse

This unusual Kunisada print caught my eye due to the flirty glance between the Kabuki Actor Nakamura Shikan IV and the large cartoony mouse in the background. It's a print that stands alone but it can also be combined to become the center panel of a triptych. The towel features gauffrage which is an embossing technique, that gives it some texture.

Condition: Very good color. Insect damage top left, minor repairs. Backed on thin Edo era paper.
