A death/memorial portrait (diptych) of Ichikawa Sadanji who passed away on August 7, 1904. The actor is in the role of Marubashi Chūya from "Hanashobu Keian Jikki."
There is no signature on this print, which is common for memorial prints. Kunichika had also passed by this time, so the publisher must have used the old blocks from the triptych "Orihime Satin Green Thread Flower Iris Keian Jikki" (a picture of this print is attached but not included).

Date: 1904.
