Ike no Hashi Sukiyacho, from the series Thirty-six Tokyo Restaurants. In the foreground are actual geisha that worked in the restaurants, this one is holding a pipe and wearing an interesting western style overcoat. In the inset image at the top there’s a small scene from the restaurant. The background has this diagonal split between a brilliant red asa no ha or hemp leaf pattern on top, and a monochromatic sumi-e style image on the bottom.
