Yaomatsu Restaurant at Makurabashi (開化三十六会席　枕橋　八百松) from the series "Thirty-six Modern Restaurants" depicts beauties at popular restaurants in different locations. Women are shown serving a meal, relaxing in the garden or on a verandah, or arriving or leaving a teahouse. These colorful designs are nicely detailed with handsome interior and exterior settings showing an interest in Western perspective.

Shown is a photo of the actual restaurant from the 1900's (photo not included with the print). The couple has just exited the ferry and are walking toward the restaurant. Note the high heeled geta to keep their feet dry. One of the best designs in this series.

Condition: Print color and overall condition is very good. Margins as shown. Print is not backed. Stain middle left.
