Enmei'in Nitto no hanashi (The Story of Nitto in Enmei Temple), Priest Nitto was known as a womanizer and his favorite was the head servant girl, Okoro. In this design, Nitto checks the privacy of their romantic encounter.
The plot of this drama was based on a real event, called the Enmei’in Affair. the head priest of the Enmeiin Temple was arrested and condemned for illicit love affairs with many women, including some ladies-in-waiting at the Shôgun court. After he was arrested he was executed in 1803.
