A rare series on the life of Yoshitsune, one of the most famous warriors of old Japan. Ushiwakamaru (the young Minamoto Yoshitsune, seated inside hut) and Ise-no-Saburo Yoshimori (kneeling on veranda with his wife). Ushiwakamaru and Saburo pledge loyalty as master and retainer. There were 10 prints in this series, by Hiroshige, entitled Yoshitsune ichidaiki no uchi 義経一代記之内 (The Life of Yoshitsune).
