Hosai - Armed and Dangerous
Hosai - Armed and Dangerous
Baido Hosai
Armed and Dangerous - Samurai warriors, Suzaki Saburo (left: played by Ichikawa Ensho) and Kato Jiro (Ichikawa Sadanji) burst into the palace of Hojo Tokimasa and threaten his daughter, Masako in the play, "Genji Hata-age" performed in the Meiji-za theater.
A historical fact was that Hojo Masako (1157-1225) became the wife of Minamoto Yoritomo, the first ruler of the Kamakura Shogunate. She skillfully handled the infighting among the feudal lords and the imperial court. After the death of Yoritomo, she exerted considerable political power over the Kamakura Shogunate.
