Hachiman Shrine, Fukagawa (深川八幡) from the Famous views of Edo (江戸名所 ) series. A large stone torii gate towers above the buildings while visitors stroll about the grounds.
There is also a full color print of this scene - our print is printed in blue, black and red only. We don't know if this was printed in 1863 or later during the Meiji era. The National Gallery of Victoria has this version in their collection.
